A Few Projects
Throughout my freelance career, I have been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects and help each client showcase their knowledge, products, and services with style and flair. In the last year, I copy-edited and proofread books for the University of Ottawa Press, translated 16 short guides for newcomers to the Manicouagan and Côte-Nord regions of Québec, translated a study on international students, worked on various annual reports for different charitable organizations, wrote copy for product descriptions and website content, and proofread and translated video subtitles for a Government of Québec awareness-raising campaign, to name a few.

History of the Jews in Quebec
This work recounts the different contributions Jews have made over the years, along with the cultural context that encouraged the emergence in Montreal of a Jewish community like no other in North America. The English translation won the Governor General's Literary Award for Translation.

Happiness Has a Slippery Tail
This novel paints the portrait of a Lebanese family that has settled in Montreal. The central figure is Dounia, a 75-year-old mother and grandmother. Hers is a story of loss—she first leaves her own village to live in her husband’s hometown, and then is wrenched from her homeland, not once but twice, to live in a strange land whose language and customs are foreign to her..
