Academic

Client: University of Ottawa Press

Located in Canada’s national capital, the University of Ottawa Press (UOP) is the publishing arm of one of Canada's top research universities and one of the world's top bilingual universities. UOP is also North America's only fully bilingual university press and oldest French-language university press.

Projects: copy editing, proofreading, and translation of academic manuscripts following established styles guides (Chicago Manual of Style, APA, New Hart's Rules, McGill Guide)

Non-Profit 

As both a freelancer and a contract employee, I have worked with the YMCAs of Québec, Share the Warmth,  Accueil Bonneau, and Fondation santé urbaine. These  community organizations provide programs and services to individuals and families from underserved and low-income communities. I have written and translated annual reports, grant proposals and funding requests, newsletters, social media posts, thank-you letters, impact reports, communications for fundraising campaigns and events, press releases, and more.

Some of the issues I am passionate about include food security, social justice, environmental protection, and homelessness. 

Other

In addition to academic and non-profit clients, I also work for different advertising and marketing agencies, translation agencies, and my own clients. I write and translate website copy, blog articles, texts for brochures, trade show magazine articles, social media posts, video scripts, press releases, and more.
