Books
Since 2020, I have been collaborating with the University of Ottawa Press as a freelance copyeditor, proofreader, and French-to-English translator. To date, I have worked on close to 40 books in various series: archaeology; biographies and memoirs; education; health and society; law, technology, and media; and politics and public policy. I also copyedited History of the Jews in Quebec, winner of the Governor General’s Award for Translation (2022; English translator: Judith Weisz Woodsworth), and The Afterworld: Long COVID and International Relations, winner of the Foreword Indie Bronze Award (2024; editors: Frédéric Mérand and Jennifer Welsh). Below are a few books I have had the pleasure of working on.
Journals, Studies, and Guides
Some recent projects include the translation of an in-depth study on the role of international students in Québec for an independent provincial research initiative on the mobility of international talent (2025, Volume10), the copyediting of four articles for the first issue of an peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal, and the French-to-English translation of 16 informative guides for newcomers to Québec's Manicouagan/Côte-Nord region (Hula Hoop, 2024).
Reports, Articles, Etc.
As a passionate writer and avid reader, I enjoy looking for new ways to share stories and ideas with different audiences, adjusting tone and voice accordingly. Some of my most memorable projects include crafting impact stories for non-profit organizations, creating annual reports that showcase the scope and reach of community programs, writing articles that translate more complex issues into easy-to-understand content, and translating and writing articles for a high-end design and art magazine (2015-2020, Prestige Design, out of print).
